Burma’s Ministry of Labor has suspended 12 recruitment agencies because of alleged corruption and exploitation of migrant workers, The Myanmar Times reports.

China and Myanmar announced on Wednesday that the two countries have established a new office to help prevent human trafficking across the border.

Thai authorities rescued more than 50 migrant workers, including eight Burmese nationals, who had been trafficked and were forced to work as slave labourers on fishing boats in Chonburi on Wednesday.
