Three papers under the Migration and COVID-19 Policy Series were released in October 2021: (1) The Pandemic and the Governance of Labor Migration: Not Business as Usual; (2) The Spectre of Irregular Migration in the Time of COVID-19); and (3) Post-COVID-19 Labor Migration Prospects and Trends. These policy briefs focus on the deployment side of labor migration governance in the Philippines. They are based on the presentations of resource persons from the Philippine Overseas Employment Administration at webinars which were held between October and November 2020. This initiative is part the project, Direct Hiring of Overseas Filipino Workers—Policy Research and Development of Risk Assessment and Due Diligence Guidelines.
