Unauthorized Migration in Southeast Asia. Quezon City: Scalabrini Migration Center, 2003.

The book is based on a four-country study in Southeast Asia: two countries of origin, the Philippines and Indonesia, and two countries of destination, Malaysia and Thailand. The book frames irregular migration as inseparable from legal migration and highlights factors that channel migrants to irregular situations at different points in time – from pre-departure processes in the country of origin, to their entry in the labor market and their repatriation to the home country.
