Quezon City: Scalabrini Migration Center, 2010.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This publication highlights examples of migrant giving and investments that contribute to development in the Philippines. These were documented in the research carried out in the Philippine Component of the Migrants\u2019 Associations and Philippine Institutions for Development (MAPID) project.<br>The book is organized into two parts. Part 1: LINKAPIL Stories \u2013 gives a brief introduction about the program called Lingkod sa Kapwa Pilipino (LINKAPIL) or \u201cService to Fellow Filipinos,\u201d a program initiated by the Commission on Filipinos Overseas in 1989 to match the resources donated by overseas Filipino associations with the needs of disadvantaged communities in the Philippines.
