Featured speakers were: Dr. Nicola Gillin, Anglia Ruskin University, who did a presentation on the contributions of Filipino nurses to the UK\u2019s National Health Service; and balikbayan Jeremaiah Opiniano, currently pursuing a PhD in Geography at The University of Adelaide, who shared his working theoretical framework to examine remittances and development.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>MIND-NET turned 4 this year; the first meeting took place on 6 September 2014.
