This report presents findings from the Philippines, one of ten countries which participated in a ten-country research project which examined how various dimensions of migration affect key policy sectors and how policies in these sectors affect migration outcomes. The Philippine study focused on the following sectors: the labor market, agriculture, education, and investment and financial services. The study in the Philippines involved a survey of 1,999 households and 37 communities in four provinces and 40 qualitative stakeholder interviews. The OECD Development Centre and the European Commission spearheaded the study in the ten partner countries. SMC implemented the project in the Philippines and co-authored the country report in collaboration with the OECD Development Centre.
